Alarge vintage English oak over‑mantle mirror, beautifully restored and finished in a soft, distressed limed‑oak wash that brings out the quiet romance of its carving and grain.
The frame features floral carved panels and handsome barley‑twist columns, all supporting a gently reeded cornice — details that lend the piece a calm, understated elegance. The bevelled mirror plate is original, full of character, and in good condition.
This mirror was carefully stripped and refinished to achieve a weathered, relaxed country look, inspired by English farmhouse and Gustavian tones. It would be perfect above a fireplace, but is equally lovely resting on an antique chest of drawers in a bedroom or bathroom.
Fitted with secure mounting brackets at the back and ready to hang.
